The fool in me

by JC   Dec 2, 2004

The fool in me
careless to see what you really meant to me.
It was foolish for me to think and yet i could not sleep a wink.
For you to want what i could not provide, and what i set aside.
The pain that i feel inside for which i have tried to hide.
In regret of the past and what we wished we had back.
It doesn't change how we act unless the fool keeps on fooling himself and others.
The fool cannot see what the person wants him to see, but he can't believe unless he sees which he never shall.
For he is stuck in high in the clouds and to which he just won't come down.
