Deep Within You

by ~DyingBlackRose~   Dec 2, 2004

* This poem is really long but will you please read and comment?*

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see your feelings
All bottled up.
Like something that wants to escape.
But you won’t allow it too.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see all black.
You’re like a mystery.
Waiting to be released.
Into the darkness of another.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see your soul.
And how it’s been torn up.
With pain and scars.
That you have done to yourself.

When I look at you.
Deep inside you eyes.
I see nothing
But empty space.
And confusion.
That has built up after so long.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see blood.
But not of good things.
But of death.
Happening over and over again.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see thorns and a dead rose.
The rose has withered from all this pain.
And the thorns caused the scars.
But why has it happened inside?

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see ghosts and spirits.
That has collected there.
After everywhere you have been.
And from where ever your soul goes at night.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see flames.
Built up from your anger.
Caused by someone else.
That has done something to you.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see people walking around.
But are they dead?
Or are they alive?
I don’t know.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see images of hearts.
The hearts have scars on them.
Like someone has taken nails
And scraped them against it.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see and hear people screaming.
I’m not sure why.
But I mostly think that they are being taken away.
But where…I don’t know.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see your heart.
It’s in a million pieces.
Scattered every where.
Around your soul.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see people who have hurt you.
Your there beside them.
Telling them that they will soon be next.
To be taken to a place unknown.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see animals.
I don’t know what they are.
But they look like mean creatures.
Who would kill someone in a heartbeat.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see bad things.
The things that I don’t want to mention.
It’s the things that some people take advantage of.
But some don’t get as far as they think they can.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see things that are unexplained.
That I don’t even know how to describe them.
But if I could no one would want to know.
Because they are so cruel looking.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see evilness.
Which would like to release itself at any moment.
But you keep bottling it up inside.
Like a dog in a cage wanting to get out.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see water.
But then I look closer and its blood.
But from where?
It’s unexplained and always will be.

When I look at you.
Deep inside your eyes.
I see mean dogs.
But they are locked up.
So they will become mean.
So you can release them when you are angry.

When I look at you.
I look deep within you.
And find your soul.
And what it dares to tell me as I wonder through it.
And I see your heart in pieces.
And scars from thorns and dead roses from all the pain.

Deep within you there are secrets only I can see.
