Her love

by Carrie   Dec 6, 2004

She lingers by her thoughts
Incapable of walking away
Tied down by her love
Held there by the stems of a black rose
Her punishment for falling in love
Is being unable to escape it
Thorns of that black rose
Sharp to remind her of the pain
As the cut and Sharp
Blood cascades staining her skin
Mixing with her tears
Exposing all her pain
Reminding her she is only mortal
Love, pain, and tears inescapable
Killing her inside forever
She died tonight
Wounded and strangled
By the stems of a black rose
That symbolizes her love; her life
