My Father

My Father taught me many things
And I haven’t forgotten one
He taught me how to talk
He taught me how to run

He taught me how to enjoy life
For what ever its worth
He taught me how to be real
To be down-to-earth

He taught me how to read
He taught me how to smile
He taught me how to love
He taught me how to be worthwhile

He taught me how to feel
When someone I loved has died
He taught me how to deal
And saying we have much pride

I want to say thank you Father
For all that you’ve done
I want to say I Love You
And that you’re number one
