I Will Remember

I sit here alone with pictures, memories, and daily reminders
since i watched you go the day of your departure.
The nostalgia is building and i am not able to let go
The longer your gone the more my feelings grow
It was hard to watch you leave in our time of bliss
With all the momentos its hard not to reminisce
The days in the park when we'd walk hand in hand
We'd stare at the mountains and make future plans
The sun would slowly descend over the hills to the west
We remained there gracefully as we were at our best
As the night devoured the day and the skies began to transform
the clouds dispersed to open up the skies for the colors to swarm
We were overcomed by magnificent shads of purple and pink
my eyes were transfixed on you i didn't dare blink
Although your gone i still have you here in my heart
I may feel alone though i know your still with me
The distance between us will try to break us down
I will fight till we win, till you are at my side again
This is my conviction in front of you, this is my promise
Just hold on, dont let time stand still i will see you soon
Its only seven months and a few days till June
Spring will bring you back, back in my arms
A season of a relationship always growing
The snow will flaw and the stream will be flowing
The flowers outside will bloom and open up to you
You will be the sun in my sky, no more cloud just lucid blue
As you grace us with your presence this will be my promise to you.
