Moving on...

The first day that I moved here,
Was such a lonely day,
I never quite new,
I could ever feel this way.

The first thing that I unpacked,
Were the photos of my mates,
So I could lay on my bed and think,
About the memories and the friends that I had made.

The friends I made there,
Are the ones ill keep in my heart,
They’re the friends that mean the word to me,
Even though we are far apart.

Soon I started my new school,
Not knowing anyone,
My friends at home were all I could think of,
Knowing they would be together having fun.

Several months had past,
And I still came home and cried,
Thinking about all the memories,
And the sadness that lay deep inside.

I never knew how hard it would be,
To make new friends and move on,
But it’s the hardest thing iv had to do,
Because its my home, its where I belong.

Even though I miss my friends,
And I wish I could be back there to,
Iv made a new best friend,
Without her I wouldn’t know what to do.

Though all my friends back home,
Could never be replaced,
My best friend that iv made now,
In me, has filled a special Space.

She’s filled a space in my heart,
one I didn’t know was there,
And when she came along,
She filled it without even being aware.

Although its been hard,
To move on from my friends and my home,
Its starting to get easier,
Knowing she’s there and Im not alone.

So to my friends iv had to leave behind,
I love you, and miss you to,
But to the friend that’s helped me moved on,
I just want to say I love ya heaps and thank you
