How can I tell you that I love you

I wrote this poem to my girlfriend, X-girl friend now but I still love her.

I wish I could tell you how much I like you, I was trying to sleep but couldn't stop thinking about you. I wish I could be there, or wish you were here, I want to kiss you and whisper in your ear. Or could I be by your side, to hug and hold you to tell you why. If I could sleep, Id be dreaming about you cause my mind is set for I'm in love with you.

    i think your poem is very thoughtful. It's really sweet and i can tell you feel strongly for her. Because i try to give criticism to everyone, i will say this. While im not sure you really care how well composed it is because it sounds like you just want her to know that you love her ^-^ i would work on (a) getting it into the structure of a poem so it's easier to read and (b) maybe more closely lining up the syllables. i found it very emotional and enjoyed it alot C: good luck!
