He had a wife

by Breann   Dec 15, 2004

I once loved a guy
He seemed to be the greatest man who ever lived
He told me he loved me
He told me he’d marry
He told me we’d have 3 kids
He held me tight,
And kissed me good night
He kept my heart warm,
And my life bright.

He made me happy like no other person could do
And when things got hard,
He told me things that always helped me get through
He said he’d be there through sickness and health
And that he’d make sure we were full of wealth.

But one thing he did not tell me
Was that he had a girl on the side.
He told her he loved her…
He told her he’d have her kid
He told here he’d hold her tight
& always be there to kiss her good night
He kept her heart warm
And her life really bright

He made her happy like he made me
When things got hard
He told her things that I thought he’d only tell me
He said he’d be there every day of her life
He just never told her he had a wife.
