I wish you were mine

The guy I had my heart set on
May one day never be mine
I keep wishing that I'd be lucky
to be the one to land in his arms
he will find someone to love
which I know it won't be me
but he will always hold a special
place in my heart
I wish that I could hold him tight
and say that he is mine
if only I can tell him that.
"I love you with all my heart"
I know he'll never hear these words
because he doesn't know me
but when he does.
Then only time can tell if he will
love me too.
