DAYDREAMING

Sitting in world history
Just got done with my exam
I take out my cd player
My favorite songs playing loud

I close my eyes in wonder
My mind starts filling with you
The song just started
It reminds me of you

I'm seeing you walking
With a smile on your face
You're coming towards me
telling me you do care

Then you tell me to go with you
Right outside of school
You express me your feelings
The ones I've always had for you

As I sit quietly
I begin to cry
You ask me why it's happening
I tell you "you took a long time"

Coming back inside school
You touch and hold my hand
Then whisper the words I love you
It shakes me and I can't stand

We walk right by a mirror
And I see how happy we are
You embrace me tightly
Then hold me in your arms

I tell you what I've been trough
All those times I cried
You tell me not to worry
That all my tears you would dry

My friends come running
and tell us we're meant to be
I tell them I knew it
You say the same thing

Wait a minute
This can't be true
Please God don't allow this
To be a fake dream too

I'm still seeing your face
When I hear the words "slipped away"
Is that Avril?
This reality I can't bear

I open my eyes carefully
Making sure it got an end
I look down at my paper
A B plus instead

I'm looking around the room
And a friend pokes my back
She said I said your name
As loudly as I can

I turn bright red because they all heard me
Good thing I was just daydreaming
Letting out a piece of me
