Goodnight

by Mr. Denied 5889   Jan 2, 2005

Goodnight, my dear.
I will see you again in the wee hours.
You will still be here.
I might be gone.
I needed to know that we had a chance as more than what we are now.
You don't want more.
Everything in this relationship isn't about you.
I feel things, but you don't care.
My dear, my heart is yours for the taking.
The wee hours pass, and you are still here.
I know that you want more from me.
The day comes, but I am gone.
You cry, and I cry as I drive away.
I know that in the future there is more for you and I.
Love will be spread for years to come.
My love is converted into marriage.
Your love is converted into children and more generations.
I know that we will die together.
You may be older, but I know it's worth it in the end.
Goodnight, my dear.
