Tears

by perrin   Jan 5, 2005

Holding hands,
while the rain falls.
we're dancing,
dancing in GOD's tears.

there is no sound,
but the sound of his tears hitting the ground.

i hold you.
you hold me.
the rain holds us.

we are wet,
but we do not care.

my hair frames my stained face.
my tears frame my streaming eyes.
you don't know i am crying.
you don't know why.
all that matters now is that you are with me.

the rain falls harder.

no one is watching.
no one is here.
only you, only me, only us.

we dance in this rain, our rain.
as long as it falls we shall be together.

my feet are not tired.
they do not ache.
they are bare,
bare as my face.

the ground is wet.
the rain is still here,
here with us.
it is a friend of ours.

we hope it shall stay forever.
this moment may last.
you and me dancing in this wondrous place.

then you kiss me.

the rain stops.
