Not just a flower

by Sinister Soire   Jan 9, 2005

*don't assume its in the wrong category, read it completly*

A flower grows in spring
Slowly surely
Growing at a steady pace
Never stopping, only resting

It becomes a small sprout
Not more than a crumb on the ground
But it is there
Grown still, on and on

As it becomes an actual plant
It develops a single leaf
This is the start of it all
This is where everything kicks in

This leaf becomes 3 leaves
Which become 5 leaves
As this plant keeps growing
It is constant, steady

Many leaves crowd this still small plant
And it is unsurprising to the eye
A small green shoot
Only visible from a few feet away

But a bud forms, this is the start
Of the true beauty of it all
This is where it excels
This is where the true beauty lies

As the bud grows and forms petals
The plant continues to grow
Not stopping, not slowing
Going on forever, never ending

A full grown flower appears
Where did it come from
No one knows, there was just
A little green thing a few days before

Then I come along and take a photo
For this is the flower of my love for you
Already sprouted, grown and is in full bloom
To never die, to live on forever,

A snap shot of the splendor of you my flower
