To My Dream

by wayne t   Jan 9, 2005

I saw you once, only once, in a dream,
it was years ago, but not that many,
twas a mid winters day, December it be,
sunlit day, warm southern air, afternoon,
as we came into each others view,
arms open wide, hearts pounding, breathless-
and eyes were twinkling, smiling at me,
soft lovely face, eyes, a beautiful hue,
lips of rose pedals sweetened with wine
we touched, we kissed, frozen in time,
scent of roses, jasmine, filled the air,
ti's feelings as these been in slumber-
brought fourth from youth in mid-December,
such was a day we spent, walking, talking-
in each others arms, our lips caressing,
leaves falling quietly, in mid-December-
gazing into each others eyes, sublime,
sun setting, gold and red over river waves,
her head softly laying on my chest,
my arms holding her close, her hand on my face,
embracing in a long and passionate kiss, somehow-
heart to heart, soul to soul, our feelings were combined,
all we have, till end of never, mid-December frozen in time,
I saw you once, only once, in a dream, now it is real.
