Love's Tether

by John123   Jan 10, 2005

Pretending ... I'm mending.
Yet only ... I'm bending.
Will this bring ... my ending?

I wish you could open up ... let me inside.
Instead of just to run and hide.

Hate me ... will you?
You don't? ... I do.
You hate yourself too?

We have so much in common, as you can see.
Why cant you just confide in me?

Because, it's for my life's sake.
If, my heart, you take.
Then, my heart you're free to break.

Trust me with your heart and soul.
And I will fill, inside of you, that empty hole.

Our love will last forever.
We will always be together.
Through the good and bad weather.
We will never sever.
But, be held one, with love's tether.
