Love for her

by Shaneese   Jan 12, 2005

A hole in the solid black sky,
a shining eye torn through reason
Staring, watching, shining on me
when no other solace can be found

A moving, spinning landmark
that helps me lose my way from here
A reminder that nothing really matters,
all is a joke, worry is a waste

A pessimists' ultimate salvation
in a world so often devoid of hope
A misanthropes' beloved mother,
rising from a dream of better things

My silver guardian angel,
fixed upon me from a million miles away
Inside of me, always warm
from its shell of everlasting innocence

A charm intact during the worst times,
during ages of ruin
Needing nothing in return,
a pretenders' perfect, empathetic friend

A source of calm when reason
is overwhelmed by feverish frustration
The light of night, spinning through space,
a manic smile across the sky.
