Perfect Petals

by Maisha   Jan 14, 2005

Perfect petals falling down,
Perfect petals all around,
Their simple beauty astounds
Even me.
Their faint pastel colour
I can see.

One means nothing but
More mean something.
Nothing can tell me
Anything.

One might tell
Something good.
But two will tell you more.

Seen so many
But yet so few
Have left an imprint
In my mind.

One in particular
Stays embedded in.
The simple shape,
Colour and form.

The one who was the giver
Was one I will not forget.
His Blondie curls, and dancing eyes
Will always be in my mind.

His simple words as
The flower I received
Can never be perceived
As anything but that.

"I Love you"
The rose in his hands,
"Always and forever"
The rose in mine.
