Without Saying A Word

by Valerie   Jan 17, 2005

I let you in
I showed you around
I gave you my heart
and it was left on the ground

Without saying a word
you drifted away
I broke into pieces
and begged you to stay

My feelings became yours
they just layed in your hand
I felt like a girl
and you seemed like a man

You were supposed to protect me
but I was fooled by your charm
I let you kiss me
while I was held in your arms

Even though I was young
I was able to feel love
and I had no choice
when it hit from above

I filled you with shame
like I wasn't good enough
the truth is I would cry
and just act tough

I waited and waited
for you to love me
but now you are gone
and now you are free
