The one thing worth dieing for

by shattered and broken   Jan 21, 2005

You watched me slit my wrist
as you slowly watched me die
you yelled and screamed
as you started to cry
your knees fell to the ground
next to were i lay
you knew you could not bring me back you knew i could not be saved
you longed to look in my eyes
longed to hold me tight
you knew if i was not there with you nothing would be right
you saw something gleaming in the sun
not a knife but a gun
you picked it up
put it to your head
pulled the trigger and next to me you lay dead
soon they found our bodies
holding each other tight
they knew we died together
they it would be alright
they buried us together
they buried us deep
they knew as long as we were together they was no reason for anyone to weep
they told no one to worry
the told no one to fret
it was then they all knew what had happened
they knew it was all going to be alright because they knew we died for love
the only thing worth dieing for.
