Till Death Us Do Part

by N J Thornton   Jan 21, 2005

And he stood before eternity,
waiting for his love to arrive.
He was bound to be married today
to his first love.
She stood at the entrance
as the bride, and wife to be.
Then took her first steps to
living her dream.
They pledge together to
love and protect,
“till death us do part”.
A promise of a lifetime,
solid as the love they show today.
“You may kiss the bride”
Then their lips join and they
are one till death us do part,
and happily ever after.

In some places this poem rhymes, in others it doesn't which makes it somewhat akward(sp?) but other than that nice job! I love the emotion!
