Goodbye

At one time in my life.....
You were my EVERYTHING.
Now when I think of you.....
Heartache is all it brings.

As I lay here in the dark.....
I think of all you've said to me.
I finally came to realize.....
You and I could never be.

I knew right from the start.....
That she was always there.
But the thought of you "with" her....
Is something I can not bare.

I wish things could be different.....
And we could be together.
I want you to know that YOU.....
Will be in my heart FOREVER.

It's time to say Goodbye.....
To this "thing" that we once shared.
