Always Here for You

by Nicole   Jan 25, 2005

One difficulty in life is to lose a friend,
a friend that means the world to you.
Fourteen years ago I met this friend.
From the first day, the friendship we have
has developed into a strong connection.
People can enter into your life and
immediately you feel certain that is
where their meant to be. Friend from
the start I rest-assured you were
that person. To serve a purpose,
to inquire to me a lesson,
and to help me realize the person I am
or ought to be. I knew you were an
individual, a friend I could put all
my trust and faith in.
Know whenever you’re in such anguish,
do not be reluctant to call and I will
be right beside you to give ear to it all.
I will drive numberless miles if you need me.
I will unclose my hand to you,
and contain all the pain you feel inside.
I’ll close my hand and hold it there,
keeping it locked away so you feel
no more pain and resentment. Know wherever,
whenever you deem the need to shed a tear or two,
laugh, or smile I will be only a step away.
Remember there is no other friend
I would turn to more than you.
I know that no matter where our lives
may lead us or the distance
it may take us, true friends is what
we will always be.
