Note: This isn't a love poem. But it is about a very dear friend and wonderful person I lost. He died at the age of 13. This poem is important to me. Thank you.

* Everyone has closed their eyes
And it seems like they've forgotten
But a few people's eyes are open
And you should know that you are thought of

Your memory lives on
Here inside our hearts
We never would've guessed
The youngest one to part

Sometimes I can hear you
Or see you smiling again
I've even seen you walking the halls
Just like you should've been

Me and my friends talk about you often
Sometimes like your here
But other times when I try to think of you
Your face seems so un-clear

It seems so unfair
You were only 13
Not to mention one of the best people
I've ever seen

I'll never have an answer why
God took you away so soon
Only a year and a half gone by
And we're still missing you

Countless tears have been cried
And probably more each day
Every time we think of you
Including just today

But as long as your happy now
And you have a smile on your face
No one will stand out more
Or ever take your place

Oh, and happy late birthday
You would've been 14
It would've been amazing
But you weren't alive to see

There are so many things about you
That I'm missing all the time
But everyone is moving on
And leaving you behind

But forever still you'll be with me
We still love you more than you know
We're missin you every day
And we'll never let you go...
