Nightmares Of My Prayers

by Bill   Feb 1, 2005

Torrents of my nightmares
Filled my lonely nights.
Torments me by day, waking up alone.
silent empty house that she made a home.
Lonely as I sit waiting by the phone.

Wingless serpent, eyes closed tight
Flying creature torments of my life.
She sailed into my dreams on a summer breeze

Angel of my prayers her love restored my dreams
She embraced me with her heart and curves of her jeans
I savor minutes with her they're moments that we miss.
Daydreams filled with hunger for another kiss.

Heart of gold and lips of silk
Bond of love that we have built
Arms of steel that melt away
Knowing that she cannot stay.

Fingertips that strain to hold
Knowing that she has to go.
Daylight comes and she is gone
Loneliness arrives with dawn.

Staring at the empty abyss
When she is gone the knife-like pain twists
The pain the fills my heart exist.

Alone again sparkles nights
She returns to me on winged flights.
Into my dreams and heart she glides
Another night with dawn I cry.

She said one day with dawn she'll stay, and
Bring the happiness into my days.
