Calm Waters

by Denise   Feb 9, 2005

Standing here on the shore,
The waves lap gently on the beach stirring up the sand.
The water is so calm,
Just as I am when I’m near you.

The calm water hides in the turbulent world below,
Wishing to spill forth,
And be known to the surface world.

I feel the wind as the breeze gently caresses my face.
It feels so real,
But yet, I do not see you.

Although the beach stretches far into the horizon,
One day the calm water will be known to the surface world
