Daddy

Daddy did you quit,
or did you light up today,
I need some convincing,
To believe the words you say.

I remember when I was six,
and you took me for a drive,
you bought a pack and said, \"don\'t tell mommy,\"
you were asking me to lie.

Of course being little taddletale me,
I told mommy when we got home,
mommy got mad and started to cry,
the anger from my actions was shown.

Since that day I\'ve been courious,
if you ever quit at all,
was it all just a lie from hell,
to coax into thinking you wouldn\'t fall.

You come home from work,
I smell your smoke stenced things,
You say\" the guys at work smoke,\"
my heart begins to sink.

Today I was leaving for school,
I needed money out of your bag,
instead I found a pack of cigarettes,
I felt like I was being gagged.

See daddy I don\'t wantm
you to die before you should,
If there was someway to help you stop,
trust me I really would.

Daddy don\'t quit for me,
but do it only for you,
I don\'t want to lose my daddy,
I love you please believe me it\'s true.
