Wishful Thinking

by Driven Soul   Feb 15, 2005

I wish upon every star in the sky, for me and you to be
I say a prayer every night for you to come back to me

At night, I dream a fairy tale about me and you
And won't tell a soul so that it can come true

And for Christmas, I'll ask Santa to wrap you naked in a sheet of cotton
So that in the morning, I'll be grateful for what I've gotten

On my birthday, I will blow out the candles of my cake
Close my eyes tightly, and wish that my heart, you will take

And when an eyelash falls gently on my face
I'll wish that you and I could be in the same place

After my meal, when I am left with the wishing bone
I'd wish to be with you, so that I'd never feel alone

When a lady bugs land on me, and suddenly flies away
I'll ask to to be with you each and every day

When I am walking on the pavement, I avoid stepping on the crack
I don't want any bad luck just in case you decide to come back

I will wish for you always, at every opportunity
I will wish for always, forever until eternity
