For Foxsox; To Tallis

by Kit   Feb 17, 2005

You don’t know how much you have,
But, hun, just let me show you.
Please try to keep an open mind,
Watch for the things I say you do.
You’ve got a hard life,
Yeah that’s true,
But you’ve got people
That love you, too.
Don’t you see how close we are?
Don’t you see how many friends you’ve got?
Is there no one here in your mind?
Don’t you see us that would miss you lots?
Look for those subtle bonds
That hold us to you now.
I will help you all along,
Yes, this is my vow.
Girl, please don’t ignore me,
For you know I love you so.
You are by far my best friend,
And I hate that you think you’re alone.
Yes, the wh**e’s forsaken you,
The jack a** is not yours,
But you know that there are more of us
Behind the other doors.
Highlighter boy is still your friend,
His girl may beat and bruise you,
But you know her well and love her still.
Yes she’s your friend, no matter what you do.
You’ve got everyone in Gaychatz,
God, you know the whole damn room!
They love your personality,
How you glow under the moon.
Everyone thinks your red hair’s hot,
You’ve made all kinds of friends.
Though you are “just a baby”,
They’ll skrew you to no end.
Just because your dad’s not here,
And your mom don’t seem to care,
Doesn’t mean that you’re not loved,
Or that you’re just a burden to be bared.
Next time you feel all alone,
Remember what I’ve said.
Please don’t turn a blind eye
To all that you’ve just read.
Remember, girl, that you are loved,
Don’t down-play this note.
I should never let you forget
That there’s truth in what I wrote.
