Things got out of hand but there were times we were happier
So I shall tell you about a little clip
And then tell you before and after and the rest of it
As you drove away after our fight
I wanted to cry the rest of the night
I wanted to tell you I was sorry and I didn't mean it
I didn't want to leave you even a little bit
But then I thought it's for the best
And now I shall read our notebook and tell you the rest
It all started on a bright summers night
At a carnival watching fin throw a fight
Then I met a boy named Noah about my age
Who asked me to dance on the middle of the stage?
I said no and he asked why
Then my friend walked by
As my friend got me some cotton candy and took me away
The boy pulled a stupid stunt and almost lost his way
As I saw that young boy on the street
He asked me if I wanted to go get something to eat
But I declined and he said I promised
Then I told him I had to be convinced
Later on we fell in love
He called me his bird from above
Then I had to leave in a week
And he wanted to break up, I was so meek
We got in a fight and I said it was over
He drove away as I screamed I didn't mean it’s really over
But as summer started to end
I had to leave and waited for the letters he would send
But all along my mother had hid
The letters that my dear Noah did
I met a new guy as time went on
I forgot about Noah since it had been so long
Then the new guy purposed and I said yes
After all it was for the best
But one day I saw Noah in the paper
And then I passed out from feeling a bit fainter
I went to go see him and it was fine at first
But I couldn't resist him any longer I thought I was going to burst
And then again I had to choose again
Noah or my fiance then
I chose Noah because love beats everything
And now the notebook keeps are many memories
