Rebuilt Walls

by Amy   Feb 23, 2005

You've come back from gone
Just like a wish come true
You've grown up, you're longing
For something that we once knew,

There go the walls So tall, so thick
To hide me from what lies inside
You know what makes me tick

Just in a moment two people can see
The truth that lies in their eyes
The dreams that haunt their sleep
Just the same someone can fade away
And the hurt shows she her destiny

Ring ring...no one's there
What a surprise she finds
Call again, hear it's there
She is about to lose her mind

So easily someone can forget
those words that seemed real before
So little time it takes to lose
What you not to long ago adored

The walls were let down for that brief time
You got in to strike
She should have known better, some things never change
And you, her love, she'll spite.

In the mean time she's forgotten too
She's been getting spoiled to death
By a new love you never knew
She is happy and in content again
O poor dear it's not with you

She's not the get played type
She messes with your mind
She broke your streak, killed the hype
And she made excellent time

She was hurt by you once
But big girls don't cry
They forget about worthless people
And give someone better a try.
