Not Over You

I saw you today after quite awhile
I had thought I was fully over you
I thought I had ran that mile
but the truth I knew

my breath was taken away
just by the mere sight of you
my mind started to relay
the memories that we went through

My lips wanted to say
just how i had felt
when you left me that day
when my life started to melt

I tried to keep my cool
not show my pain
trying to play by the rule
I tried to hide the tear stain

you easily walked by
flashing a quick glance
not even saying hi
or giving me a chance

I guess we weren't meant to be
although it always hurts
you just wanted to be free
but I have no comforts
