This cold hearted age of man.

by CR   Mar 1, 2005

Long long ago, I felt the warmth
The warmth of youth, life, and love.
It warmed my soul
As it stroked my heart's coals

Today I look around in scorn
I see nothing thats not worn
Through the day and into the night
My hopes are diminished, alright?

Where are the fires of youth
to spread the desires of above forth

Where are the sparks of life
to make oneself fly, unlike Lot's wife

If I could only feel love
then I might just fly up, up above

I feel the chills
washing over me like poisoned pills
Will I ever feel something other than
this cold hearted age of man?
