Hello, Darkness

by Nicole   Mar 2, 2005

Built up so high
a mountain to the sky
there you see-is joy in her eyes
Look up- on open wings she glides
forever on into the heavens
anticipated fear crushed
by the dawn of unexpected hope
she is no longer falling down the hillside
fate has reversed the slope
of her life
she’s so high
she cannot be broken again
immortality seems to be her new best friend
as she dances
sunlight shining through her dark eyes
for once making them bright
she has kissed the night goodbye and
moved on to where her daydreams lay
she’s convinced there’s no greater pleasure than this..
this pure bliss caused by her loves first kiss
....suddenly
the light is drowned and the ecstasy is bound
in the distance, she sees the storm returning
the sun that warmed her
is now burning
her wings to ash
a cruel cold wind rushes past
...and she falls back down to the lifeless ground
though you may search..her smile cannot be found
she crawls and curls, hopless and helpless
welcome back, back to me
my dearest friend, my enemy
Killer of light, birthplace of dreams
...sweet darkness
I breathe you in
you live in me.

People can be stupid, intolerant, and unkind. they are cruel creatures built to provide compassion, yet. few do. and i can only imagine the trials that's been thrown upon the innocence of who you are. and this is why u inspire me. i hope u always have this great attitude. you deserve to be happy & don't ever let anyone make u feel like u don't deserve what u want.
    much love
