Will You Remember

by Elizabeth Ruiz   Mar 12, 2005

It's so hard to accept this facts

Knowing you'll ask her to prom
Leaving me empty
and a heart torn
Knowing you'll pick her up
both of you all dressed up
meeting her parents
"oh what a good boy"
Telling her she looks beautiful
asking her "what's that smell"
on that first song
would you remember my name?
While you both dance
and exchange laughs
while she looks at you
will you remember my first glance?
Afterwards,
when the lights dim
and you have to get closer
will you remember me?

It's so hard to accept this facts

And when that last song
demands a kiss
and then when you lean in
will you remember my lips?
And if the night's still young
and you take her out
and you two have time together
will you remember our talks?
And if for some reason
You two are in the car
and the moon is bright
and the stars are shining down
and the time is just right
will you say "I love you"?
Or will you remember me,
when I was her?
