The Blessed Heart

The Blessed Heart

Tis with anticipation wild
That I your arrival await,
Once again I am as a child
Ready to tempt loves fate...

What joy to hold you once more,
To taste your lips so sweet,
To be by your beauty absorbed,
Ah, such agony until we next meet...

O my beautiful Juliet
You are the mate of my soul,
I loved you when we first met,
And you I will love until Death takes it toll...

And should Death take me tonight,
In my gladness I will depart,
For you have made my darkness light,
And I, your Romeo, am of blessed heart!
