Differences (Hindu Love)

by D.Manning b.k.a Augustus Staranko   Mar 14, 2005

Even after years of trying
I refuse to believe culture caused our downfall

If love is as love does
Who was there to catch you more than I was

When your family pushed you away
I gave you a place to stay

See I saw you grow into a woman
And you made me into the man I am today

I know that our religions, food taste, birthplace, and etcetera don’t match
But I’ve been willing to accept u just to make it last

See, I put you first
And refuse to be last

When you look deep down were not all that different

Although our opinions vary I know what you need
And it’s not what your parents expect you to be

All I ask is just to give it a chance
You never know where this road leads
It may disappear in a glance
