The Edge

What glorious day is this?
I can finally see the colours in the sky and the horizon, it’s so clear,
Once again I am able to hear the wind sing, watch the green dance.
Feeling the gentle sun creep over my skin, conquering inch by inch.

These events I cannot deem
My darling threshold of anticipation no longer contained,
I can touch your tears and stroke your hair, mend all the pain.
My life a constant headache cured, by your consecrated touch
Your compelling voice cutting and gliding, soothing infinite wounds.

This Life no longer real
My sapped strength rejuvenated by you emanating presence,
I can perceive your angelic enchanting voice, as it washes over me.
No longer do I linger in the shadows, you’ve blown away the darkness.
You lie exhausted from watching my efforts, finally I can reach out and carry you home…
