Dreaming awake

by Erica Brown©   Mar 17, 2005

Love, contagious to all living,
But I was healthy,
Or at least I thought I was.
March was the month,
I became shy, vulnerable and
Dreaming awake.
Of being, laughing, and talking,
With you.
I couldn't though.
I did stare, starve and sigh,
At your looks.
Yet I did not touch,
You were too far from my clutch.
I had one chance,
But I let it go to the next flower.
In this Spring month,
I let you go.

1st, thnx 4 commenting on my poems. Second, I liked the story of your poem but I didn't think the poem itself flowed well enough. To make it a good poem it has to be easy for the reader to read and yours was a bit confusing! Liked it though. bye
