Do you care? Part 2

*Read part 1 first…and I suppose I should explain, I know the first section is a little vampire like but that’s how I work. The story in General will lead into a "secret/forbidden love" thing. And, I have really been wanting to do this story for a long time now, hence the reason I am doing it =)

For some reason, Jack wanted to follow her. There was something about her that made his heart thump. In all of his years of immortality, he had never encountered this. Jack pushed his dark hair out of his eyes. That was when he looked up, he noticed a slight part in the clouds. "You know what…Lily, I cannot. I—I have to go." Lily’s eyes looked troubled, "Why?" she asked, the curiosity back in her kind voice. "Just, I can not be in the sun. Oh, damn, I—I do not think that I will be able to make it back to my apartment." The man said, his voice cracking as he panicked. Lily grabbed his hand, "Come with me. I will take you back to my place! It is just around the corner." She did not ask questions, she just dragged him along to her apartment.
She unlocked the door and flicked on the lights, which burned Jack’s eyes, but he could handle artificial light. He ran around and closed all of the blinds. "Jack…Why can’t you be in the sun?" she asked her voice cautious. Jack froze. He did not know how to respond. He began very slowly, "Lily, please listen to me. I promise I will leave as soon as it gets dark. But…but, I—I am a Vampire. I promise I will not bite you. I can eat later. I have cows blood at home…"he stopped short, she was not staring at him like he was a monster, in fact she was smiling. "You mean you are not going to run and scream and through me out into the sunlight?" She giggled, "No silly. This is cool. A vampire, eh? Wow, I did not know that they still exist. Hmm…" her face grew seriHM, she was losing herself in thought. She snapped out of it quickly, "Look, make your self at home here. I HAVE to get to work, I promise to be back around 10. Please wait until I get back. I have so many questions to ask you." She said, and Jack nodded his head. What is going on here? He thought to himself. With that Lily spun on her heal and ran out the door, so she would not be to horrendously late for her job at Planet Hollywood.
