Promises and love are one in the same; they both cause so much pleasure and bring so much pain. People promise their love then take it away. People love to make promises that often fade away, like the promise of happiness or the promise of life both are sometimes granted but only in short supply. Some promise forever or forever and a day but as you know forever often wears away. Did you know that love is a promise? Love is a promise of forever but once you slip up it quickly becomes never. Some people promise that you wont be hurt then turn around and bury your heart underneath the dirt. Some people you love promise not to make you cry. Then one day they decide that they want to say goodbye. So never make a promise that you know that you can’t keep because once one has fallen its hard to get up from that faithful leap.
