Behind the Mask

by Carrie Aguilar   Apr 1, 2005

I know a girl who at night cries
but no one in the world could know.
She hides her feelings behind
a mask of fake joy and laughter.
She always hides her feeling for him so that way no one
in the world will know about him.
She thinks to herself that if
she hides all of her feelings for him that no one will get their
feelings hurt. But what she doesn't
Know is that she is only hurting herself. She may not realize it but
for her to hold in all of her feelings and not say anything is like being lifeless.
You don't express yourself, and you
act like you don't care. When he passes her in the hall I can see that they both like each other. She feels really strong about him, but
he has no idea.
If she continues this all her life she will end up regretting it her whole life when she finds later that he was
as in love with her as she was with
him.
I know this girl you know how because this girl is me.
