To love is not a sin

by Cheyanne   Apr 6, 2005

Your mother knows about us
your father doesn't trust me
they say it can't be love
that it's wrong and I must leave

to love is not a sin
they just don't understand
they want it to end here
but I'm not going anywhere

girl, there's nothing they can do
to keep me from loving you
there's nothing they can say
to drive me away
oh don't worry baby
we'll get through this like always

at least they know the truth
no more secrets to hide
it's not what we chose to be
but we're gay and can love too
yeah, that's right

before you all attempt to make us end
remember.. to love is not a sin

You and I seem to be on the same page. You're very brave to be only 14. It took me a long, long time to speak out as bodly as you have about being gay. I admire you. Keep up the writing. If you ever want to email me, here's my adress: sarahk7@uga.edu
