Lost, shattered love

by Vicious Tragedy â„¢   Apr 7, 2005

Love is like a crystal,
fair exquisite and clear,
broken in a million pieces,
shattered, scattered far and near.
Now and then along life's path,
Some shinning fragments fall,
but there are so many pieces...
no one ever finds them all.

You may find a bit of beauty,
or and honest share of wealth,
while another just beside you
gathers honor, love and health,
broken is the perfect ball,
and there are so many piece...
no one ever finds them all.

So treasure every fragment clear,
and fit them as they may,
imaging the shattered sphere,
learning ever to be thankful.

Though their share is small,
for it has so many pieces...
no one ever finds them all.

My mother wrote this poem when she was going through some hard time, this is not the original... I have made some slight variations!
