Friendship

by Wesley Mckessar   Apr 9, 2005

Your friendship may mean nothing,
To all of those other people,
But to me, it means a lot.
I'll stand in front of you,
And protect you from any harm,
Just to make sure you're safe.
I'll stand behind you,
To catch you when you fall,
Just so you smile.
Most of all,
I'll stand right beside you,
To be your friend.
To be with you every step,
To match your pace in walking.
I don't care,
What they say about you,
And why they say it.
But I'm not a follower,
I am a leader,
I follow my own path.
And I chose mine to walk with you,
On your path..
And help you with your problems.
To me you truly are,
Such a great friend.
