My Dream

I'm sitting with you
Watching the sun go down
It's just you and me
With no one else around

The clouds are turning pink
As the time passes on
Your now back with me
And now she is gone

I look in your eyes
And I can see my heart
Getting caught up in you
As it starts to get dark

I see the first star
Make a wish and close my eyes
As I open my eyes
I try not to cry

I'm scared you'll go away
Just like you did before
But I look over and your there
And I'm not scared anymore

You pull me a bit closer

I'm lost in your words
While you get closer to me

I'm now caught up in your kiss
Your lips pressed against mine
Reassuring me
That you'll never leave me behind

The fireflies dance about us
The stars seem brighter tonight
A soft breeze rustles the midnight air
And I know that it's alright

Life seems so perfect now
And my smiles back again
My reality is my dream
Your more than just my friend

With all of my heart
I can't live without you
I don't want to be apart

I awake short of breath
It really was a dream
Your still with her
We're no longer a team

My pillow is soaked with tears
I'm unsure of your love
As I try to sleep again

She really will be gone
