It's Funny

It's funny
I ask you how you are
You say I'm alright hunny
But I know the truth is so far
So far away
'Cause you cried when you came my way

See you came over last week
You cried in my arms
Told me about how you feel so weak
And how you don't know what you're doing

You tell me things
That no one else knows
And these things give you wings
To fly high, but some how so slow

See I know what you really feel
I know what you really want
Happiness, something we've had so real
Until a few months ago which now haunts
Haunts us both

You know where your heart is
You know I can take you there
With just one simple kiss
That no other can take you
This now seems so unfair
To you

I ask how you and her are
You tell me alright
We were alright and you left me with a scar
That I try to fix every night

I know you still love me
You tell me when I need it most
See I know you need to be free
But you remain so close

We'll always be
No matter where you go
You could leave,
Go to the army
But you know I'll always be waiting

It's funny
'Cause I thought I was the only one
Who needed the us
But I found out you need US too
You showed me the last time we saw each other
When we hugged and
You kissed my forehead and cheek

I love you baby
You'll be back home in time
You really are always going to be mine
Somehow, someway, you will always
