My uncle, My father

My Uncle, My Father

Simon, I don’t know if I’ve ever told you
But you are as good as my dad
You are always there
I know that you will always care

You’re the best thing in my world
You’ve always been in my heart, always in my soul
I thank the lord that you will be there
Always for me to hold

You are so gentle and so kind to me
When every one else in our family is mean
I’m glad it has been your love
That I have always seen

You’re the best uncle I could ever want
You taunt, and you may tease
But just by having you near
The pain is at ease

You are my mother’s brother
You dislike her as much as me
Your love is greater than all
The water there is in the sea

You do everything with me
We laugh, we joke, and we play
I know even if everyone else leaves
I know that you will always stay
