Who are we to complain? (easter story)

by Rosean AKA Zeni   Apr 18, 2005

Our saviour, Jesus Christ
on the cross was slain
he died to carry our sins
so who are we to complain

hanging there upon a cross
nailed to his death
' father why have you forsaken me,'
he said with his last breath

the blood dripping from his head
from a crown of thorns
some people were weeping
other faces were full of scorns

so who am i to complain
as he died for me
it was not his will
to die upon a cross at calvary

it had to be
it was his fate
his heart was full of love
his prosecutors full of hate

yes he died for you and me
upon a cross so grave
he did it for everyone
and to everyone new life he gave
