A World Apart..

There are times when your image
Appears inside my dreams
I thought I could forget you
But I guess not, so it seems

Thoughts of you still linger
Within this heart of mine
I can't erase the feelings
That have deepened over time

But we are now a world apart
The distance between us incalculable
Oceans and mountains separate us
You have become unreachable

Yet, the memories play inside my head
Like scenes from an endless movie
Allowing me to relive each moment
That have always stayed with me

I wish to free my imprisoned heart
That you have unknowingly captured
To break free from this spell of yours
To forget you altogether

But I cannot seem to let go
As a part of me wants to stay
Because you're still inside my heart
