I was walking alone one night
and you was walking by my side
i was suddenly intrigued and asked you, "why?"
you shrugged your shoulders, i gave a sigh

when i was troubled and weary; you're always there
when i had problems; you always bear
when i need to talk; you always heard
when i need a friend; you're there my best friend

one night i was again weary,
you're almost in your house and I'm ready
and i asked you with my eyes teary,
"hey buddy, could you be my best friend?!"

my world stopped rotating,
my clever mind stopped working,
i felt like i did a great "something"
now, my life's worth a living

but it even got more exciting when you said yes without a doubt!
i really felt happy as if I'm gonna shout!

by then, i realized,
no need to be terrified!
that as long as i know
"friends for life no one will go..."
